Because, from a long long distance away, people can't see what the girl looks like (if she's all the way up front and person is ALL the way in the back of the room), that's also a reason why people in theatre's cake makeup on them. IF you're standing in front of them then they obviously look relaly weird but from a distance, it looks rather nice.
1: a girl has to look her absolute best at a beauty pageant, and with all the lights shining on her her makeup has to be thicker and darker than normal, otherwise she looks like a ghost.
2: they sent invites to other galaxies and are just waiting for them to get here

The girls in beauty pageants have to look their best if they want to win. Plus it boosts confidence when you wear makeup because it makes you feel prettier and better.
Nothing about pageants makes sense
they dont make any sense and i agree with the miss universe statement
