I am starting an online beauty business and my mom doesnt want to talk about it?

I am starting a beauty product line in 2 years when economy gets better and i have been doing research and business plans. My mother keeps putting me down about it and when i talk about it she gets really quiet and says i dont want to hear about your business. What is wrong with her?? She tells me nobody will buy your ';natural products';. This makes me really sad because when something is positive in my life she always puts me down. When i talk to my friends about it they cheer me on and they give me business advice. Please help.I am starting an online beauty business and my mom doesnt want to talk about it?
Who knows why she is doing that. I understand that it's hurtful...especially from your mother, but you have to develop a thicker skin. Business is tough and there will be an abundance of ';dream killers';.

Dear, Parents are always worried about their children. they think you are not mature enough for the business. But i advice you to take your mom in confidence and let her know you can do this thing. sometimes a person will refuse to discuss a matter if they have nothing positive to say about it. If you want her honest opinion, then apparently it is not a positive one for this situation. I have grown children, and when they broach a subject that I do not approve of, I would rather say nothing about it rather than be negative.
