Are small feet a mandatory model of beauty in China?

Are chinese women obligued to have the smallest feet besides the worst tortures with tight dressing and fractured bones? Iknew that happened in the past but I wondered if this is still happening. Are small feet a mandatory model of beauty in China?
Foot binding has been illegal since the fall of the last Emperor.

Apart from the white skin mentioned in other answers, an important sign of beauty in Chinese eyes is height. I always hear people saying someone is beautiful, when really they mean tall. Are small feet a mandatory model of beauty in China?
Foot binding has been outlawed since 1911 and pretty much completely done away with for about 50 - 75 years. Additionally, the size of one's foot has nothing to do with beauty in modern China. I'd say women are more obsessed with having pale skin and that the whiter your skin is, the more ';beautiful'; you are.

As a side note, is foot binding any different than some of the measures taken today in the name of ';beauty?'; Things like tattoos, plastic surgery, gastric bypass surgery, anorexia, bulimia, corsets, etc.? Food for thought!
No small feet aren't a mandatory model of beauty in China. Chinese women are however obsessed with having white skin. The whiter your skin is the more beautiful you are considered to be regardless of your other 'deformities'.
No that practise was outlawed in 1911.

Todays model of beauty is more based on a natural look
It was, it no longer is.
